Preservation Love: An Ode to NOLA

Tell me a tale
oh
tail some-thing
to
those hot beads of brass
some
thing
dripping
down
a Swede sways
floored
eyes of sunshine
not aware
stars were arranged
in this style.

Tamborine alto sax
Sax
of the Universe
tambourine- trumpet
cries cries cries to
my sliding trombone
when Trump-ets up
it sends
the whole world down
the
tube

ah,

like a gunshot
golden brass
long staccato
smooth
running a marathon
with undulated breath

You rendered me penless
channeled some fool
by beats
going off the edge of the
world

then back again
I am watching
a different brass
language
voodoo
of blackbirds
flown away only left
behind is my soul
On the
floor
bye bye.
